Established in 1981 as a racquet sports facility, Columbia Basin Racquet Club has grown to a 115,000 sq. ft. multi-purpose facility today. In 1987 the Club completed it’s first expansion and remodeling project which added the outdoor pool, the existing men’s locker room, the current weight room and the group exercise studios, eliminating two of the six original tennis courts. The Club went into receivership and was purchased under local ownership in 1991.

In 1995 the club launched it’s second major expansion. This expansion added the current cardio center, the yoga/pilates studio, and the gymnasium while eliminating two more of the original six tennis courts. A separate building was built adding a lounge, four additional indoor tennis courts and two outdoor clay courts.

In 2002 the club embarked on yet another renovation, this time removing five of the eight racquetball courts and re-purposing them for the childcare area, rock wall room, the party/preschool room, the small group personal training studio, a family changing room and an expansion of the men’s locker room.

Finally, in 2013 the Club launched it’s most recent expansion with the addition of Pelican Bay Water Play. This expansion added a leisure pool including a lazy river, play structure with dumping bucket, beach style zero-entry play pool, a drop slide, water basketball, and the AquaClimb climbing wall.

As the Club has grown over the years, it’s purpose and vision have remained the consistent. To inspire community, create a sense of family, and enhance a life worth living. We are dedicated to being the best part of your day…every day!
