Avoiding sugar? Or maybe just trying to keep from breaking the “food budget” this Holiday season?

This time of year can be really hard to resist temptation and keep your healthy eating on track. So we wanted to give you a few recipes for foods that feel like “cheating”- but actually aren’t.

Here are some favorite recipes from Kelly Sherman, Nutrition Consultant and Personal Trainer here at CBRC. She shares three brunch recipes, four treat/dessert recipes and three side dish recipes. All are nutrient dense and will totally fool your tastebuds.

Crustless Broccoli and Cheese Quiche

Cranberry Orange Muffins (Paleo)

“Good For You” Hot Cocoa (Vegan, Paleo)

 

Treats/Desserts:

Two Minute Freezer Fudge (Vegan, no refined sugar)

Vegan Chocolate Truffles

Salted Caramel Apple Pie (Gluten Free)

Gingerbread Cookie Cutouts (uses coconut sugar)

 

Side Dishes:

Green Beans with Dried Cranberries and Hazelnuts

Maple Cinnamon Glazed Acorn Squash and Brussels Sprouts with Bacon

Quinoa Salad with Pears and Baby Spinach
